About Teachers Service Commission
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is a government owned parastal established in 1967 to oversee educational activities at primary, junior and senior secondary schools level.
TSC is vested with the mandate to ensure qualitative educational system in the country. This also includes training of teachers, which is where the internship programme comes in.
This programme usually last for twelve (12) months and it targets unemployed teachers fully registered with the commission. Throughout the intern duration, candidates are compensated with monthly stipend.
The application process for 2025 starting from 26th August till 9th September 2025. According to the recruitment process, submitted applications shall be reviewed and names of successful candidates released.

- Locate internship opportunities
- Select list of successful applicants for 2025 internship programme
- Click on the download button to get the PDF
- Open the file on your download folder
- Carefully search for your name

Selection Criteria
Here are the key factors that makes each candidate eligible for shortlist.
- Candidate must be a Kenyan citizen with valid National Identity Card or Passport.
- Should currently reside in Kenya.
- Applicant must be a registered teacher with TSC.
- He or she must have C+ mean grade in KCSE, then Diploma or Degree in Education.
- Candidate must have submitted application on or before 9th September.
- Multiple application, providing false information, fake documents or canvassing in any form only results to instant disqualification.
Documents Required for Screening
Prospective interns shortlisted, should report at screening venue with the following:
- Original copy of National Identity Card or Passport.
- Birth certificate
- Teachers Service Commission registration certificate or printout.
- Personal Accident Insurance Cover.
- Original academic and professional certificates.
- Two (2) recent passport photograph.
- Valid copy of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN.
Inability to report for screening means you’ve opted out of the recruitment process. Also, candidates are expected to be available full-time throughout the internship duration.
