Parliamentary Service Shortlisted Candidates 2025: The Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the 2025 recruitment of the Chairperson and Members of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Criteria for Parliamentary Service Shortlisting

The selection and shortlisting process was based on fairness, competence, and regional balance which includes:

  • Educational Background: Applicants must hold relevant university degrees from recognized institutions.
  • Experience and Integrity: Candidates with notable public service experience, leadership skills, and an unblemished integrity record were prioritized.
  • Regional and Gender Representation: To promote inclusivity, the list reflects diversity across Kenya’s counties and both genders.
  • Compliance with Legal Requirements: Applicants were required to present clearances from KRA, HELB, EACC, DCI, CRB, and the Commission for University Education (for those with foreign degrees).
  • Public Participation: Members of the public were invited to submit memoranda regarding the suitability of candidates before the interviews.

  • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
  • Clearance from the Commission for University Education (CUE) for candidates with foreign degrees.

Dates and Venues for Interviews

All interviews will be conducted at the College of Insurance Ballroom, South C, Nairobi County. Chairperson interviews to start from 24th to 26th March 2025 and Member from 27th March to 24th April 2025. Plus, all interview sessions start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day in different sessions.
