Eligibility Requirements

Nationality: The fundamental eligibility criteria for NCRC recruitment 2025 is that applicant must be a Kenyan citizen with valid National Identity Card or Passport.

Age: Application from persons below 18 years shall not be considered.

Clearance: Applicant must be in possession of certificate of good conduct issued by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), clearance certificate from HELB, KRA PIN, CRB and EACC declaration form.

Qualifications for NCRC Recruitment 2025

Below are the specified requirements for each position:

1. Principal Research Officer

  • This role requires a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in either Sociology, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Law or Political Science, Statistics etc. from an accredited institution.
  • Applicant is expected to be a member of relevant professional body and must have attended a management course that lasted at least one (1) month.
  • An accumulative eight (8) years of work experience including those at supervisory or managerial position is required.

2. Industrial Attachment Position

Candidates interested in industrial attachment programme in either Research, ICT, Supply Chain Management etc. must adhere to the following:

  • Be between 18 – 26 years
  • Must currently be undergoing a degree programme in any social science courses
  • Must be teachable and willing to adapt
  • Shall provide a recommendation letter from institution of study

Note: NCRC industrial attachment programme only lasts for three (3) months. This does not guarantee permanent employment but candidates shall be assessed based on their performance.
