About Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports

This ministry was initially established in 2005 with the aim to tackle possible challenges faced by youths that impedes the realization of set Millennium Development goals. In according to the constitution, the ministry has the mandate to:

  • Organize program for youth empowerment and participation.
  • Established and maintain good youth partnership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Harness youth innovation and talent development.
  • Formulate enabling policy, legal and institutional framework.

Eligibility Criteria for Ministry of Youth Affairs Recruitment 2025

  • Citizenship: Interested applicants must be citizen of Kenya with valid National Identity Card or Passport. Should also be residing in the country.
  • Clearance: In fulfillment of chapter six (6) of Kenya constitution, candidates must possess clearance certificates from Higher Education Loan Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), reputable Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and Ethic Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) etc.
  • Prospective Candidates must hold the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with at least D+ mean grade including English and Kiswahili languages.
  • Those applying for the post of a driver must possess valid driving license free of current endorsement.
  • Programme officer II applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in either Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, Livestock Production or a closely related discipline.
  • Those applying for Deputy Director must have a Degree in either Human and Veterinary Medicine, Natural Resource Management or a closely related discipline.
  • Applicant must have worked as an Assistant Director for a minimum of one (1) year.
  • Interested candidates must possess good communication, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in relevant computer applications.
