Eligibility Criteria for Application

Below are the general requirements that determines if you’re qualified to apply for Ministry of Lands recruitment 2025 or not.

Nationality: Interested applicant must be a citizen of Kenya with valid National Identity Card or Passport.
Government Clearance: In adhesion to chapter 6 of the 2010 constitution, persons applying for this recruitment exercise must have gotten valid clearance certificates from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loan Board (HELB), Ethic Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) etc.
Personal Attributes: Applicant must be a focused and result oriented person, should be able to cope under pressure, must be a good team player, and possess good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Age: Generally, candidates applying should not exceed 45 years.
K.C.S.E: Everyone applying must have the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) with either C, C- (minus), D (plain) or D+ mean grade.

1. Chief Land Registrar

Interested applicant must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya for a minimum period of 10 years.
Candidate must also have general work experience in land administration or management for at least 10 years.
Must have completed an undergraduate degree in any accredited institution in Kenya.
Applicant must be free of criminal record, undischarged bankrupt, felony or legal obligation related to tax.

2. Senior Deputy Chief Land Registrar

Candidates applying for this role must have both Bachelor and Master’s degree in Land Economics, Surveying or equivalent qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.
Applicant must be a member of relevant professional body.
Must be conversant with relevant land registration laws and related statutes.

3. Senior Deputy Director of Surveys

Ideal candidate with one with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in either Land Surveying, Geometrics Engineering, Geo-spatial Engineering etc. from an accredited institution.
Applicant must be a registered and recognized member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (MISK).
Candidate must have professional competence and managerial capabilities.
Applicants of this position must have at least 12 years of relevant work experience.

4. Senior Deputy Director, Land Adjudication and Settlement

Candidates applying for this position must have at least 12 years’ experience.
Must hold a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in either Land Survey, Agriculture and Human Ecology Extension, Geography of a closely related discipline.

5. Senior Deputy Director, Land Valuation

Interested candidate must have a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Property Valuation, Estate Management, Land Economics or a closely related discipline.
Applicant must be an active and registered member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), Valuation and Estate Management Surveyors Chapter.
Should also be registered with the Valuers Registration Board.

6. Senior Deputy Director, Land Administration

Prospective applicants of this position must hold first degree and master’s in either Land Economics, Geography, Agricultural Economics, Land Administration or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
Candidate is expected to have a minimum of 12 years of professional experience including handling managerial position.
Applicant must be a registered and active member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), Land Administration Management Chapter.
Candidate must possess good administrative skills and professional competence in land administration duties.
