General Requirements/Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: It is pivotal that applicants of the 2025 Ministry of Interior and National administration recruitment should hail from Kenya, possess a valid National Identity Card or Passport and also resides in any of the 47 counties.
• Age: Prospective applicants must be within 18 – 35 years of age.
• Government Clearance: As required by chapter six of the Kenyan constitution, applicants shall provide clearance certificates/documents from Higher Education Loan Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) etc.
• Personal Competence: Interested applicant must be law abiding, free of criminal scandal or pending charges, possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Must also be a computer literate.
• KCSE: Candidate must have the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) with at least D+ mean grade or possess an equivalent qualification.

Qualifications for Ministry of Interior Recruitment 2025

To proof yourself worthy of the advertised positions, below are the requirements you must meet.

1. Support Staff

• Candidates interested in this position must hold the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE)
• Understand how to operate relevant office equipment and must be conversant with proper office cleaning.

2. Driver III

• Applicants of this position must hold KCSE with mean Grade D.
• Should possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have completed the First-Aid certificate course at either St. John Ambulance or KIHBT.
• Must have succeed in the suitability Test for Grade III Driver and also the practical test for drivers conducted by Ministry/Department.
• Candidate must hold a valid clearance certificate from the Police.
• Possess a minimum of 2-years’ experience as a driver.

3. Office Administrative Assistant III

• Ideal candidate for this position must hold KCSE with at least C- (minus) mean grade including English and Kiswahili languages.
• Candidate must have the Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) issued by KNEC for; Typewriting II, Business English I, Office Practice I, and Commerce I.
• An alternative to the above is holding a certificate in Secretarial studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council.

4. Clerical Officer II

• Interested applicant must hold KCSE grade C- (minus) and also a certificate in relevant computer applications.

5. Fingerprint Officer II

• Persons applying for this position must have completed an undergraduate degree in either Forensic Science, Information Communication Technology, Criminology, Security and Disaster Management, Information Science or a closely related discipline etc.

6. Registration Officer II

• Applicants of this position must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in either Sociology, Economics, Business Administration, Anthropology, Communication Journalism etc.

7. Assistant County Commissioner/Assistant Secretary

• Interested applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant social science course from a recognized tertiary institution.

8. General Cadet Officers and Technicians

• Persons interested in this position must be medically, physically and mentally fit.
• Candidates with Diploma or Certificate must not exceed 28 years of age.
• Those with a Bachelor’s degree must not exceed 30 years.
• Male applicants must be at least 5.4ft tall while women should be 5.2ft tall.
• Candidate must not have an eye or ear impairment.
• Must have a criminal free background. Female candidates should not be pregnant throughout the recruitment exercise.
