General Requirements for MOH Recruitment 2025

Here are the general criteria that makes you eligible to apply for advertised vacancies.

Citizenship: Candidate applying must hail from Kenya, possess a valid National Identity Card or Passport issued by Kenyan Government and also reside in the country.
Patriotism: Applicant is expected to be law abiding, free of criminal record or have current criminal charges in the court. Must not also have antecedent of violating professional code of conduct.
Clearance: In accordance to chapter six of Kenya constitution, interested candidates must have been cleared by Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Ethics-Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) and accredited Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
Basic Education: Generally, candidates are expected to have a minimum of D+ mean grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) or equivalent qualification.

To get appointed for announced vacancies, the requirements varies from position to position.

1. Senior Supply Chain Management Officer

Persons applying for this position must first hold an undergraduate degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a closely related discipline.
Candidate must have a post-studies professional work experience for at least three (3) years.
Candidate must be highly knowledgeable of Government Planning, budgeting and procurement management policies.
Candidate must have a good command of English and Kiswahili languages, problem solving, interpersonal, ICT and communication skills.

2. Senior Finance Officer

Applicants of this position must have a minimum of 5 years professional work experience in either private or public sector.
Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related academic discipline.
Applicant must have aced CPAK part II examination.
Must be proficient in relevant finance computer applications.
Must be a self-motivated and creative individual.
Should possess outstanding communication and problem solving skills.

3. Senior Project Accountant

Prospective applicant of this recruitment exercise must hold a Bachelor’s degree in either Commerce, Business Administration and Economics. Those with equivalent qualification in related discipline can still apply.
Applicant must have experience and also be knowledgeable in preparing management financial reports.
Must have passed the Certified Public Accountants part III examination.
Must have gained a minimum of 5 years professional experience in Accounting.
Should possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Data Clerk

Applicants of this position must have at least a Diploma in Information Science, Data Management, Health Records Management or a comparable course.
Should be very proficient in relevant computer applications e.g. Microsoft Officer (Excel, Word and Access).
Candidate must have an accumulative thee (3) or more years of relevant work experience.

5. Office Assistant

Candidates applying for this role must have D (plain) mean grade in KCSE.
Certificate in Business Management.
Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills.

6. Health Informatics Officer

This role is best fit for candidates who possess first degree in Health Information Systems, Digital Health or closely related discipline.
Must have an overall 6 years or relevant work experience.
Must be conversant with transactional databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, SQLite etc.
Must be conversant and proficient in health information system design and database management.
