Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship: The Ministry shall only accept applications from Kenyan citizens who possess either a valid National Identity Card or Passport.

Age: Interested applicant must be within the age range of 18 – 35 years.

KCSE: At least D+ mean grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education including English and Kiswahili languages is required.

Government Clearance: Applicant must be cleared and issued certificate from relevant authorities such as Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Ethics Anti-Corruption Commission and a reputable Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) etc.

Personal Competence: Candidates interested should be good at interpersonal relations, be proficient in relevant computer application, discipline, result oriented and good team player.

Requirements for Ministry of Cooperatives Recruitment 2025

Below are the specific qualifications, experience and skills required for announced vacancies.

1. Senior Cooperative Officer

• Prospective candidate of this position must hold first degree in either Cooperative Business, Law, Business Administration or closely related academic discipline.
• Candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as Cooperative Officer I.
• Interested applicant must hold a valid certificate in relevant computer applications.

2. Senior Assistant Cooperative Officer

• Persons interested in this role must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent qualification in Cooperative Management, Marketing or Entrepreneurship.
• Must have completed a professional Supervisory training that lasted at least 2 weeks at any accredited institution.
• Candidate must be a computer literate.
• Applicant must have at least 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Cooperative Officer I.

3. Assistant Cooperative Officer 1

• Prospective applicant of this position must have 3 years’ experience as Assistant Cooperative Officer II.
• Should hold a Diploma in Cooperative Management, Marketing or a closely related academic discipline.
• Candidate must have a certificate in relevant computer packages.

4. Senior Cooperative Auditor

• Applicant must have passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Part II examination or equivalent qualification.
• Must hold a degree in either Cooperative Management/Audit, Business Administration, Statistics or a closely related discipline.
• Applicant must have served in the capacity of Cooperative Auditor I for at least 3 years.
