General Requirements for Mandera County Jobs 2025

The criteria that makes a person eligible to submit application for the 2025 Mandera County Government job vacancies are:

• Nationality: The County Government requires that only citizens of Kenya who possess a valid National Identity Card or Passport should submit application.
• Age Limit: Interested applicant should be between the age group of 18 – 35 years. Exceptions can only be for internal or top management positions.

1. Town Administrator

• Eligible candidate for this appointment must hold a Bachelor’s degree in either Urban Management, Business Administration or a closely related course.

2. Village Administrator III

3. Ward Administrator II

• Interested candidate is expected to hold a first degree or equivalent qualification in either Public Administration, Business Management or Communication Development etc.
• He or she must have gained at least three (3) years administrative experience.
• Candidate must possess good organization, assessment and report writing kills.
• Proficiency is relevant computer applications especial Microsoft Office is pivotal.

4. Deputy Sub-County Administrator III

• Applicants interested in this role must hold a degree in Public Administration or a related social science discipline.
• Prospective applicants with a Master’s degree in any of the above discipline have an added advantage.
• Applicant must possess a minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience.
• Should be knowledgeable of the vision 2030 goals and as well understand national policies.

5. Sub-County Administrator III

• To qualify for this position, candidate must possess a first degree or HND in Community Development, Public Administration of any other relevant position.
• Having five (5) or more years of relevant work experience in administration or management is an added advantage.
• Applicant must be very conversant with national development goals, possess good interpersonal, communication, planning, ICT, and reporting writing skills etc.
