General Requirements for Mandera County Jobs 2025
The criteria that makes a person eligible to submit application for the 2025 Mandera County Government job vacancies are:
- Nationality: The County Government requires that only citizens of Kenya who possess a valid National Identity Card or Passport should submit application.
- Age Limit: Interested applicant should be between the age group of 18 – 35 years. Exceptions can only be for internal or top management positions.
- Clearance Credentials: Any applicant who does not meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution by holding a valid clearance certificates from HELB, KRA, DCI, EACC< and CRB etc. shall be disqualified.

1. Town Administrator
- Eligible candidate for this appointment must hold a Bachelor’s degree in either Urban Management, Business Administration or a closely related course.
- Candidate is expected to have a minimum of 4-years work experience in administrative processes.
- Additionally, applicant should be conversant of national policies and the 2030 vison goals.
- Good communication, interpersonal and computer application skills are required.
2. Village Administrator III
- Ideal candidate must have resided in the village of a minimum period of three (3) years.
- He or she must be proficient in local socio-economic atmosphere.
- Applicant must be a person of good morals and high integrity.
- Should be a computer literate.
3. Ward Administrator II
- Interested candidate is expected to hold a first degree or equivalent qualification in either Public Administration, Business Management or Communication Development etc.
- He or she must have gained at least three (3) years administrative experience.
- Candidate must possess good organization, assessment and report writing kills.
- Proficiency is relevant computer applications especial Microsoft Office is pivotal.
4. Deputy Sub-County Administrator III
- Applicants interested in this role must hold a degree in Public Administration or a related social science discipline.
- Prospective applicants with a Master’s degree in any of the above discipline have an added advantage.
- Applicant must possess a minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience.
- Should be knowledgeable of the vision 2030 goals and as well understand national policies.
5. Sub-County Administrator III
- To qualify for this position, candidate must possess a first degree or HND in Community Development, Public Administration of any other relevant position.
- Having five (5) or more years of relevant work experience in administration or management is an added advantage.
- Applicant must be very conversant with national development goals, possess good interpersonal, communication, planning, ICT, and reporting writing skills etc.
