  • You must have a Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) from KNEC or its equivalent.

2. Assistant ECDE Teacher III (Job Group ‘F’)

  • The basic salary is from Ksh 20,560 to Ksh 26,460 per month.
  • You would receive a Ksh 3,730 House Allowance and a Ksh 3,000 Commuter Allowance monthly.

Key Requirements

  • You must have a minimum grade of D+ (Plus) in your KCSE (or Division IV at O’ Level).
  • You must have a Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) from KNEC or its equivalent.
  • You must be registered by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
  • You will be required to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct and a Valid medical report from a registered government health facility.

3. ECDE Teacher III (Job Group ‘H’)

  • The basic salary is from Ksh 26,900 to Ksh 35,380 per month.
  • You would receive Ksh 4,500 House Allowance and Ksh 4,000 Commuter Allowance.

Key Requirements

  • You must be Registered by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
  • You must have a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or its equivalent.
  • If you don’t have the requirement in number two above, you have an option of a minimum grade of C (Plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent.
  • You also have another option if you have a minimum grade of D+ (Plus) in KCSE, you should also have a Certificate in ECDE from KNEC or the Ministry of Education.
Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Lead class teaching and develop engaging, play-based learning activities that motivate and mentor learners.
  2. Maintain a safe classroom environment, ensuring the safety and security of all children.
  3. Prepare and update records, including schemes of work, lesson plans, and daily activity programmes, and submitting monthly reports and learner assessments.
