Eligibility Requirements
Age: Interested applicants must be within 18 – 35 years. Exceptions shall only be for top managerial positions that requires over 8 years’ experience.
Proof of Identity: Prospective applicants must hail from Kenya with a valid National Identity card or Passport as proof. Driver’s license may not be considered.
Basic Education: Irrespective of the role you wish to apply, having a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with D+ mean grade or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
Patriotism: Applicants must be in adherence to the chapter six of Kenya constitution by possess certificate of good conduct from DCI, and other clearance certificates like HELB, KRA etc.

Qualification/Specifications for KURA Jobs 2025
In addition to the eligibility criteria, below are the role specific requirements.
1. Assistant Director for Research and Innovation
Person occupying this position shall develop and execute research and innovation strategies that will inform the management on issues bothering road infrastructure.
- Ideal candidate for this role is one with a degree or equivalent qualification in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering etc. from an established institution.
- Must have an accumulative 8 years work experience relevant to this role.
- Applicant must have certificate in management training. Acceptable duration of attendance is one (1) month.
- Applicant must possess professional qualification and be a member or relevant body such as Institute of Engineers of Kenya etc.
2. Assistant Office Administrator
This officer shall carry out common secretarial functions to ensure seamless flow of office operation.
- Suitable candidate is one with a Diploma in Secretarial studies from KNEC or an equivalent qualification.
- Must possess certificate in computer packages such as MS office and internet.
- Should be a registered and active member of Kenya National Secretaries Association (KENASA)
3. Superintendent
This is more like a supervisory role where the officer shall execute policies for road asset management, network asset management programs etc.
- Interested applicant must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a qualified institution.
- Must have 2 years work experience in engineering field.
- Should be a registered and recognized graduate Technician Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
4. Driver
As the driver, you shall be in charge of the authority’s motor vehicles thereby monitoring for faults, fueling, servicing and general maintenance.
- Person needed for this role must have KCSE mean grade D plain.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Should be a computer literate.
- Possess Automobile Association of Kenya Defensive driving certificate.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years driving experience and must have attended KIHBT first aid training.
5. Intern Vacancies
- Internship applicants must have a Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
- Must be within 20 – 35 years.
- Must have finished higher institution not earlier than 2019.
- Shall provide a recommendation letter from the institution attended.
- Those applying for engineering must be registered as graduate trainee with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
