Eligibility for Training As KNEC Examiner
To qualify for trainee examiners, here are the key criteria you must adhere to:
- Interested person must be a practicing teacher in any of the aforementioned discipline.
- Must be a registered member of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or currently be employed by the Public Service Commission.
- Candidate must have at least a Diploma in Education from an accredited institution.
- Nothing short of three (3) years teaching experience is required.
- Applicant must not be flagged by TSC or employer for any disciplinary action.
- If employed, a recommendation letter from the head of institution is required.
- No applicant must be above 50 years of age.
- Tutors from training colleges and TVET institution can also apply.

Requirements for KNEC Recruitment 2025/2026
Those directly interested in the recruitment of assessors (Power Mechanics, Electricity, Aviation Technology, French Oral, German Oral, Arabic Oral, Kenyan Sign Language Signing Practical, Music Practical) must adhere to the following:
Citizenship: Persons applying must be origins of Kenya with valid means of identification such as International Passport or National ID.
Skills: Applicant must possess good interpersonal communication, analytical, reporting and leadership skills. Must be knowledgeable of basic MS office packages.
Education: A Diploma in Education or equivalent qualification from a recognized and approved institution is required. Those applying for aviation technology must have a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.
Experience: Applicant must currently be a teacher or tutor in the relevant subjects with at least three (3) years experience. Registration with Kenya Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or any other professional body is mandatory.

Deadline for KNEC Recruitment 2025 Application
