Kenya Prisons Service (K.P.S) operates under the Ministry of Interior & National Administration, by carrying out the crucial function of safeguarding law offenders, rehabilitation and reformation etc.

When is Kenya Prisons Recruitment 2025 Starting?
The Kenya Prisons Service is starting the next recruitment exercise on 30th April 2025, for the position of constable, cadets, specialist, technicians and artisans etc. The recruitment process is totally free of charge, as such canvassing in any form will only result to disqualification.
Requirements for Kenya Prisons Recruitment 2025/2026
- Fundamentally, prospective applicants must be Kenyan citizens. Not just that, but must possess a valid National Identity Card or Passport as evidence.
- Interested applicant must be one fee of criminal record or conviction history. Patriotism is highly sort after.
- Candidates applying for constable positions must have at least D+ mean grade in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent qualification.
- Persons interested in professional cadet officers, technicians or artisans must have either a Diploma, Certificate or Degree in relevant field of study.
- Diploma and certificate holders must not exceed 18 – 28 years of age.
- Degree applicants should be between 18 – 30 years of age.
- Males applicants must be at least 5.4 ft tall while female should be minimum of 5.2 ft tall.
- Being medically, mentally and physically sound is mandatory.
- Applicants with blurring sight or difficulty to hear are not allowed to apply.
- You should be able to communicate effectively either in verbal or nonverbal form.
- Interested female applicants must not be pregnant throughout the recruitment and training period.
- Prepare yourself for the nine (9) months compulsory para-military training.
