About Kenya Dairy Board Internship Program
Kenya Dairy Board (KDB) has a deep root in the country’s history as far back as 1900 when it was handled by colonial settlers. The situation changed in 1940 as Africans mounted pressure to take part in the dairy activities and a committee was formed in his regard that resulted to the inclusion of Africans in dairy farming.
Fast forward to independence, the Kenya Dairy Board was formally established as a State Corporation to operate under the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock Development with the focus to regulate and facilitate a value driven and sustainable dairy industry.
As part of KDB social responsibility, the internship programme was instated to curb unemployment by training eligible graduates and youth about milk production standards and regulation in Kenya.
This will not only build capacity and self-development but also foster trans-generational knowledge.
