Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) was instituted by the Government and is operational under the Ministry of Health with the core mandate to; oversee the hoarding, distribution of drugs and medical supplies for designated public health programs.

The authority also assists diverse County Governments in Kenya to set up, run and manage appropriately the supply chain systems for drugs and medical supplies. The vision of KEMSA is to offer excellent health products and technologies and supply chain solutions across East Africa.

Eligibility Criteria for KEMSA Recruitment 2025

Here are the fundamental requirements that makes you eligible to apply for this recruitment exercise.

• Citizenship: Interested applicant must be an indigene of Kenya and currently possess the National Identity card or Passport.
• Clearance Documents: He or she must adhere to requirements of chapter six (6) of the constitution by possess relevant clearance certificates from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Ethic Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) etc.
• KCSE: Prospective candidates must hold the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with at least D+ mean grade or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Competencies: Applicant must be a good team player, able to work under pressure, possess relevant computer application skills, be a good communicator and have a criminal free background.

Qualifications for KEMSA Job Vacancies 2025

Aside from the general requirements, below are the role specifications for vacancies advertised.

1. Principal Quality Assurance Officer

The official responsibility of this officer shall include assessment, quality certainty, procurement and distribution of relevant health commodities.

• Interested applicant must hold first degree in Pharmacy from an accredited tertiary institution in Kenya.
• Applicant must have a minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience as a Senior Quality Assurance Officer or similar role.
• Applicant must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poison’s Board (PPB).
• Must hold professional membership with bodies like Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) or similar.
• Candidate must have completed a professional management or leadership training at an accredited institution for at least one (1) month.

2. Quality Assurance Assistant Officer I, Medical Lab. Technologist

This officer shall assess, inspect and ensure quality of medical laboratory commodities and health technologies.

• Prospective applicant is expected to hold at least a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. Those with HND have an added advantage.
• Applicant must have served as a Quality Assurance Assistant Officer II or equivalent role for at least fix (6) years.
