Eligibility Criteria for KDF Shortlist
Becoming successful at Kenya Defence Force recruitment exercise portrays the following:
- You’re a Kenyan citizen with valid National Identity Card or Passport within the age bracket of 18 to 35 years.
- You submitted application and participated in the recruitment exercise on or before the set deadline.
- You possess the a minimum of D+ mean grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) or equivalent qualification.
- Providing fake documents/information or late submission will only result in automatic disqualification.
Is KDF Shortlisted Candidates 2025/2026 Out?
Yes, the comprehensive list of successful applicants for the 2025/2026 recruitment exercise for both combat and civilian positions have been published online via the official KDF portal www.mod.go.ke.

When is Ministry of Defence Interview Date?
All shortlisted candidates are to report for interview screening at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters, Ulinzi House, Lenana Road, Nairobi from 21st March 2025.
Candidates are to report to the screening venue with the following documents:
- Valid copy of National Identity Card or Passport.
- Academic and professional certificates.
- Two (2) recent passport photograph.
- Birth Certificate/Age Declaration.
- Testimonials and any other supporting documents.
