Eligibility Criteria for KDF Civilian Staff Jobs 2025
- Fundamentally, applicant must be a Kenyan citizen and also possess a valid Government issued National Identity Card.
- Applicant must be residing in the country.
- Should have at least D (plain) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) or equivalent qualification.
- Applicant must have clearance certificate from HELB, DCI Certificate of Good Conduct, KRA PIN, and EACC self-declaration form etc.
- Candidate should be conversant with relevant computer applications, and possess strong communication skills etc.

Qualifications for Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2025
In addition to the above eligibility criteria, here are the position-based qualifications required.
1. Driver II
- Candidates interested in this position must possess a valid driving license and attended First-Aid training for at least one (1) week.
- Applicant must have a valid Suitability Test for Grade III Drivers
- A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience is required for this role.
2. Artisan (Panel Beater III)
- Interested applicants are expected to have at least mean grade D plain in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E).
- Must have completed artisan training from recognized institution or possess equivalent qualification.
- For this role, having NYS certificate would be a plus.
3. Artisan (Spray Painter III)
- Prospective applicant must have D mean grade in KCSE and also possess Artisan National Trade Test Certificate Grade III from either National Industrial Training Authority or equivalent institution.
4. Motor Vehicle Mechanic III
- Applicants for this role must have completed apprenticeship or training at any recognized authority/institution. Possible possess NYS certificate as well.
5. Cook III
- Interested applicant must have a Craft Certificate in Food and Beverage Production, Sales and Service or equivalent qualification.
- Alternative to the above is attending training course in Food Production that lasted for at least two (2) months by the Kenya Utalii College etc.
6. Clerical Officer II
- Candidates interested in this position must possess at least C- mean grade and also be proficient in relevant computer applications.
7. Senior Support Staff
- Candidates interested in this role must have a minimum of D plain mean grade in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and should be proficient in relevant computer applications.
