The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, IEBC shortlisted candidates 2025/2026 for the just concluded recruitment exercise is out. The vacancies shortlisted for includes chairperson, members of IEBC, and coordinators among others.

The selection panel through the parliament of Kenya released a total of 1,848 applicants for the 2025 IEBC recruitment exercise. Persons who submitted application are encouraged to check this list.

Overview of IEBC Recruitment 2025

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) serves in an independent capacity as delegated by the Kenyan constitution to conduct, manage and oversee the electoral processes in the country.

The aim is to ensure that through the integrity, transparency and fairness of the both, democracy would continue to have a strong hold in Kenya. The commission also awareness programme in other to curb police apathy.

Recently, the commission announced vacant positions which was published on its official website www.iebc.or.ke, the Parliament Service Commission and the Public Service Commission jobs portal.

As part of the eligibility criteria for getting shortlisted, applicants must be Kenyan citizen with valid National Identity Card or Passport, possess at least D+ mean grade in KCSE and be between 18 and 35 years of age.

Shortly after the recruitment portal was closed, the Parliament Service Commission declared that a total of 1,848 applications are received for vacant positions including Chairperson and Members of IEBC.

IEBC Interview Schedule 2025

All shortlisted candidates must report for the oral interview held at Ballroom, College of Insurance, and South C in Nairobi from Monday, 24th March 2025 to Thursday, 24th April 2025 at 8:30am daily.

Shortlisted applicants are to visit the interview venue with the following documents:

  • Original National Identity Card or Passport.
  • True copies of academic and professional certificates/testimonials.
  • Valid and current clearance documents from DCI, HELB, KRA, EACC, CUE and CRB etc.

Note: As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates are subject to public scrutiny to ascertain their worthiness of the roles and those found guilty of unethical behavior shall be disqualified. Same goes with missing out in the interview process.
