Specifications for CIFOR-ICRAF Recruitment Vacancies 2025

To proof eligibility and suitability, prospective applicants must meet the requirements below:

1. Senior Accountant

• Interested applicant must have studied accounting in a recognized university or equivalent institution.
• Candidate must be a certified Public Accountant of Kenya with a minimum of five (5) years work experience.
• Applicant should be able to communicate fluently in both verbal and non-verbal form.
• Preferably, candidate should be able to speak French and English.
• Relevant experience in financial and accounting services, project cost and external audits are necessary.
• Applicant must be proficient in computer applications relevant to accounting including UNIT4 Agresso System.

2. Programme & MEL Coordinator

• CIFOR-ICRAF expects holder of this position to possess a degree and Master’s degree in relevant academic discipline like Project Management or equivalent.
• Applicants with only bachelor’s degree must have four (4) years’ work experience while those with Master’s is two (2) years.
• Applicant must be a member of relevant professional body and as well be conversant with project management, MEL and finance.
• Professional certification in project management or finance is a plus.
• Applicant must have experience working in an African environment.
• Being proficient in any Asian language would be a plus.

3. Project Administrative Assistant

• Applicants interested in this role must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution.
• Acceptable course of study includes Business Administration, Communications or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience relevant to program or project administrator assistant is required.
• Applicant must be an excellent communicator, have experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
• Must be able to work in a multicultural environment and be proficient in computer applications such as MS teams, SharePoint, office 365 etc.
• Must possess high level of integrity, and confidentiality.

4. Temporary Research Support Assistant

• Candidates going for this position must have a Diploma qualification or certificate in Science Laboratory Technology, Applied Science of a related discipline.
• Applicant must possess good laboratory analytical skills, be a good communicator and as well be proficient in relevant computer software.
