Who is Eligible?
The eligibility requirements check are as follows:
- Competencies: Applicant must have knowledge and experience in financial markets operation, money markets, capital markets and derivatives etc.
- Citizenship & Age: Applicant must be an indigene of Kenya with National Identity Card or Passport as proof. Also, must be within 18 – 35 years of age.
- Compliance with Constitution: Applicant must have a valid certificate of good conduct from DCI, clearance certificate from HELB, and KRA PIN certificate etc.
- Education: Applicant must possess the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum of D+ mean grade.

Qualifications for CBK Recruitment 2025/2026
In addition to the above, here are the vacancy’s specifications and expectation of ideal candidate.
1. Senior Securities Auctions Officer
This officer shall issue government security measures to finance respective domestic debt borrowing audience which must be in compliance with the Medium-Term Debt Strategy (MTDS) and domestic debt issuance program.
- Interested applicant must have a Degree in either Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting etc.
- Must be well knowledgeable of government borrowing, issuance of government securities, liability and risk management.
- 3 or more years’ experience in securities auction is an added advantage.
2. Senior Manager, Head of Risk
This office shall orchestrate strategic leadership that ensure appropriate risk management of investment and other portfolio.
- Interested applicant must have Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in either Finance, Economics, Risk Management or a related discipline.
- Membership with professional bodies and certifications like CFA, CIFA, FRM or PRM is a plus.
- Candidate must have vast work experience in central banking and asset management for at least ten (10) years.
3. Chief Librarian
This officer shall be the custodian of all information resources, provide training on access and use of e-resources as well ensure compliance with library policies.
- Qualified candidate is one with Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in either Library or Information Studies, Library Science or a closely related discipline.
- Overall work experience in a library setup for at least eight (8) years is pivotal.
4. Internal Audit & Risk Intern
- Applicant must haven completed a degree program in either Economics, Human Resource, Statistics, Accounting, Banking and Finance from any accredited institution.
- Must be within 21 – 29 years and graduated within the last two (2) years.
- Applicant must provide a reference letter from institution attended.
- Must be unemployed and not a beneficiary of any other internship program.
