Qualifications/Requirements for BBC Jobs 2025

To qualify for the above roles, below are the basic criteria you must meet:

You must possess an acceptable National Identity Card or Passport for country of origin.

Candidates interested in this role must have either a Degree or Advance Degree in either Human Resource Management, Communications, Marketing etc. from a recognized institution.
Applicant must be vested with years of experience in swift strategic decision making, planning and delivery, working in African/American markets, influence/driving growth in media business as well as delivery in a modern media, digital or tech environment.

2. Journalist, BBC Somali

Candidates applying for this position must possess good knowledge of spoken and written Somali languages as first language.
In addition to this, possessing a good command of English is mandatory.
Should be a creative writer and presenter.
Must also gain experience as a broadcast journalist.

3. Video Journalist, Great Lakes

Applicant of this role must possess strong writing and communication skills in Kinyarwanda, Kirundi and English languages.
Applicant must have complete wither a Degree or Diploma programme from an accredited and recognized institution.
Applicant must possess good interviewing skills and able to work under pressure to meet close deadlines.

4. Business Development Coordinator

This role is open to persons with a Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or related discipline from an accredited institution.
Prospective applicant must be conversant with computer applications such as Microsoft Office word, excel or even Access etc.
Possess relatable years of experience in the media space or marketing is an added advantage.
