The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) recently announced the readiness to recruit 10,000 constable police offices and has scheduled the recruitment to commence from Friday, 3rd to Thursday, 9th October 2025.

Interested and eligible Kenyans are then invited to submit application online at the official recruitment portal www.prs.npsc.go.ke. One of the pivotal stages in the recruitment exercise is completing the application form.

Persons who are eligible and qualified to apply this recruitment exercise are to download, fill and submit the application form online at:

To ascertain your eligibility, here are the requirements each candidate must meet:

  • Interested applicant must be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Must possess a valid National Identity Card or Passport.
  • Must be within 18 and 28 years of age.
  • Must hold at least D+ mean grade in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) including English and Kiswahili languages.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit.
  • Male applicant must be at least 5ft 8in while female must be 5ft 3 in.
  • Candidates applying must have no pending criminal charges or previous criminal record.
  • Female applicants must not be pregnant throughout the recruitment process including training period.
  • Persons who complete the National Youth Service (NYS) program can also submit application.

Section 1: Personal Details

Under this section, you’re to correctly fill your surname, first name, other names, date of birth, age, gender, nationality, ID no, tribe, current physical address, mobile no, and email address.

Also, you shall provide you home County, sub-county, division, location, sub-location, home constituency, ward weight, height and detail of alternative contact person.

Section 2: Educational Background

Under this category, you shall provide detail of the institution you attended including start to finish date, award received, course studied and grade of graduation. Begin with the highest to lowest qualification.

Section 3: Employment History

If you have several work experiences, provide them in this section starting from the Employer’s name, start – finish date, and position held.

Section 4: Disciplinary/Convictions

Tick the boxes as applicable for these information:

  • Have you ever been convicted of any criminal offence?
  • Have you ever been dismissed or otherwise removed from employment?

Section 5: Medical History

This section is to ascertain whether you’re physically, medically and mentally fit.

Section 6: Preferred Service

Indicate if you wish to join the Kenya Police Service (KPS), Administration Police Service (APS) or General Service Unit (GSU) etc.

Section 7: NYS Discharge Certificate Number

If you complete the National Youth Service (NYS) and received a discharge certificate, then proceed to fill the number in the space provided.

Section 8: Additional Information

Information such as language proficiency, and competencies are required for this section.

Section 9: Referees

In this section, you shall provide the full name, occupation, phone number, email address and town of at least three (3) referees.

After you have successfully completed this form, proceed to attach copies of your National ID card, Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent, birth certificate, NYS discharge certificate and submit.
