The National Intelligence Service (NIS) is one of the superior government agencies, whose assignment is to gather security intelligence, timely security analysis and as well assist other national security forces curb crime.

Eligibility for NIS Shortlist 2025

To get shortlisted by the National Intelligence Service (NIS), below are the key criteria you must meet:

  • Candidate must possess either a Degree, Diploma or Certificate from any accredited institution in Kenya.
  • Must be within 20 to 31 years of age.
  • Must align with chapter six (6) of Kenyan constitution by having in possess copies of clearance certificates from HELB, KRA, DCI, EACC, CRB etc.
  • Candidate must hail from Kenya, and possess current National Identity Card or Passport.
  • KCSE with mean grade of C+, C (plain) or D+ mean grade is pivotal.

Is Kenya NIS Shortlisted Candidates 2025 PDF Out?

According to the National Intelligence Service recruitment process, you may not find a publicly available list of successful candidates or PDF. This is because eligible candidates who created a profile on NIS career portal and submitted application are usually contacted initially via email or SMS.

How do I know have been Shortlisted?

If you submitted application online at NIS jobs portal, then there are two (2) major ways to confirm you’ve been shortlisted.

1. Email/SMS Notification: An email or SMS enlistment message will be sent to you by NIS. As such, it is important to monitor both inboxes very closely.

2. NIS Career Portal: The next step is to confirm by logging to the online careers portal www.nis.go.ke using your email address and password. Navigate to application status, there you will see invitation from NIS.

Note: Throughout the recruitment process, the National Intelligence Service will never request you to make payment for the application form, or to get shortlisted. Sequel to this, refrain from such enticement.

Also, trying to canvass by providing incorrect data, unoriginal documents/certificates automatically results in disqualification.

How to Check Kenya NIS Shortlisted Candidates 2025

  • Using your phone, iPad or laptop, visit www.nis.go.ke
  • Click career opportunities on the menu tab
  • Login to your profile
  • Select application status

Immediately a dialogue box will pop-up indicating if you’ve been shortlisted or not. Update about the interview screening shall be communicated to all selected applicants in due time.

Documents Required for Screening

  • Kenya National Identity Card or Passport.
  • Birth certificate of age declaration affidavit.
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E).
  • Original copy of either your Degree, Diploma or Certificate.
  • Clearance documents such as; KRA PIN, HELB certificate, DCI certificate, EACC self-declaration form etc.
