Eligibility Requirements for SHA Recruitment 2025/2026

What qualifies you for any of the advertised Social Health Authority recruitment vacancies are as follows:

  • Nationality: Mandatorily, only Kenyan citizens are eligible to apply for SHA jobs. Interested applicant must have a valid National Identity Card or passport.
  • Age: The roles available are not for persons below the age of 20 years.

1. Director of Provider and Beneficiary Management

  • Candidates interested in this position must have a Masters and Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent course.
  • Academic certificates must be issued by an accredited and recognized institution.
  • Applicant must have received a practicing license from recognized professional body or institute.
  • Certified leadership training that lasted for at least one (1) month is mandatory.
  • Plus or minus, applicant should have an accumulative 15 or more years of relevant work experience.

2. Director of Benefits and Claims Management

  • This position as well requires 15 or more years of work experience.
  • Applicant also should have completed both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program in either Statistics, Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Public Health or Medicine and Sugary.
  • Professional registration and membership is mandatory. Current practicing license from recognized institution is required as well.
  • Going through a one (1) month leadership or management course at an accredited institution is a plus.

3. Director of Corporate Services

  • Interested applicant must be a graduate of Human Resource Management, Business Management, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Public Administration or an equivalent course of study.
  • Postgraduate qualification such as Master’s degree in any of the above discipline is required.
  • Both Master’s and Bachelor’s degree certificate must be from accredited and recognized institution.
  • Applicant must possess active practicing license if need be.
  • Applicant must be conversant with relevant computer applications and finally, must have fifteen (15) or more years work experience.

4. Director of Funds & Finance Management

  • This role requires that ideal candidate possess an overall minimum of fifteen (15) years or work experience or more.
  • Must have complete first degree and Master’s program in any other these discipline; Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Strategic Management etc. from a recognized university.
  • Applicant is expected to be a member of professional body and possess valid practicing license/certificate if any.

5. Director of Internal Audit

  • To qualify for this role, applicant must have gained over 15 years’ experience relevant to this position.
  • He or she must possess a Bachelors and Master’s degree in academic disciplines such as; Statistics, Business Administration, Mathematics etc.
  • Applicant must possess Leadership certificate and training must have lasted more than one (1) month.
