Eligibility Criteria for SEZA Recruitment 2025
Right now, you may be wondering what it actually takes to join the authority workforce, below are the general requirements each applicant must meet.
Age: The announced vacancies for SEZA can accumulate applicants from 18 – 35 years of age. There are few exceptions for managerial positions.
Citizenship: Applicant is expected to be a Kenyan citizen with acceptable National Identity Card or Passport as proof.
Secondary Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with D+ mean grade plus including Kiswahili and English languages or an equivalent qualification is required.
Chapter Six Adherence: As started in chapter 6 of Kenya constitution, candidate must possess clearance documents/certificates from authorities like HELB, DCI, KRA, CRB and EACC etc.
Personal Attributes: Applicant must be result-oriented, career driven, honest, good communicator and proficient in computer application skills.

1. Senior Customer Care Assistant
- Candidates going for this role must have a Diploma in either Communication Studies, Mass Communication, Public Relation or a related discipline.
- Certification for the above program must be from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Candidate must have gained a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience.
- Should have a certificate in Telephone operation, Reception and Front Office etc. Passing the telephone occupational test II is necessary.
- Certificate in Customer Care or relationship is an added advantage.
- The Special Economic Zones Authority expects your expertise and experience to reflect on assigned tasks.
2. Licensing Officer
- Persons interested in this position must be a graduate of either Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy or related course.
- Certification for the above course should be Bachelor’s degree or equivalent issued by an approved and recognized institution.
3. Senior Records Management Officer
- Most qualified candidate is one with a Degree or equivalent certification in Records Management, Information Science Management or a related course.
- Candidate must have attended a leadership or supervisory professional course that lasted for a minimum of two (2) weeks.
4. Senior ICT Officer
- To qualify for this post, applicant must have gained over four (4) years of relevant work experience.
- He or she must be a degree graduate of either Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering etc.
- Applicant must possess either CCNP, CDCP, CCNA cloud, CCNA Industrial etc.
- Professional training for Supervisory or management course is an added advantage.
5. Principal Marketing Officer
- Candidate applying must have completed both Master’s and Bachelor’s degree programme in either Marketing Commerce, Economic, Strategic Management etc.
- Candidate must be a member of a recognized professional body in Kenya or internationally.
- To ascertain capacity, candidate must have at least eight (8) years of relevant work experience.
6. Senior Communication Officer
- Candidate interested in this position must have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- An accumulative work experience of four (4) years or more is well appreciated.
- Membership with relevant and recognized professional body is necessary.
- Additional professional training for either supervisory or management course that lasted a minimum of two (2) weeks is required.
