Important Info About UPDF Shortlist 2025

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) wants all shortlisted candidates to note that the physical recruitment will start on 5th August 2025 and then end on 15th August 2025.

All shortlisted candidates shall bring to the screening center three (3) passport photographs and application letter signed by LC 1, DISO, GISO and originals of all academic certificates.
Applicants who did not include their district of residence during application should go to the one indicated on their National ID.
Candidates who provide false information or fake documents shall face prosecution if caught.
Throughout the UPDF physical recruitment exercise, now candidate is permitted to pay anyone as the process is free of charge.
Candidates who sail through the physical recruitment exercise shall report to the Kaweweta Basic Military Training School in Ngoma-Nakaseke District.

How to Download/Check UPDF Shortlisted Candidates 2025

There are two (2) methods through which you can access the list; (I) online (II) offline.

1. Online Method

Visit the official career’s portal www.recruitment.updf.go.ug
Navigate to application page
Scroll the page to locate “list of successful candidates”
The list is segmented by districts
Click on your district of application
Download the PDF, open and check for your name

2. Offline Method

Go to your district notice board, ask for where UPDF shortlisted names are pasted, the list are sorted by surname and NIN, so when checking, start with your surname or National identity Number (NIN).

How Are Candidates Selected for Shortlist?

Those whose name reflects on UPDF shortlisted candidates 2025 simply adhered to the eligibility requirements and application instructions.

Basically, candidates must be within 18 to 30 years while.
Must have a valid national identity Card.
Must have submitted application on or before 11th July 2025.
Applicant must have provided authentic and correct information.
