Overview of Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS)

The Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS) initially referred to as Zambia Prisons Service is a facility set up by the nation’s government to handle the humane custody of law breakers.

Suspects who have been tried by a reputable court of law and found guilty of accused crime are usually handed over to the Zambia Correctional Service, where the management shall ensure their safety throughout the sentenced period.

General Requirements to Join Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS)

  • Citizenship: The Zambia Correctional Service recruitment exercise is only open to indigenes of Zambia who also possess a valid Green National Registration Card (NRC).
  • Acceptable Age Range: Only interested applicant within the ages of 18 – 25 years shall be considered to join the service.
  • Fitness: Applicant must be both physically, mentally, medically and otherwise strong. Should possess a valid report from any government recognized medical facility.
  • Integrity: Candidates applying for this recruitment exercise must be law abiding and have zero record of criminal activities.
  • Height: The Zambia Correctional Service requires that both male and female applicants must be atleast 1.65m tall.
  • Skill: Candidate should be able to express self in both written and verbal form.
  • Due to the military training involved, only single individuals shall be considered.
  • Those with secondary school qualification or equivalent have an added advantage.

ZCS Recruitment 2025 Application Deadline
