According to the reports, the county also made it clear that teachers who have higher diplomas will be promoted to positions with higher pay. 

2. Kericho County

Kericho County also made major progress in employimg ECDE teachers in 2025. The county confirmed more than 1,200 ECDE teachers now have stable jobs. Also, the county went a step further by building over 70 new ECDE centres so that children would not have to study in overcrowded classrooms.

 In addition, the Kericho county also set aside more funds to pay ECDE salaries and provide learning facilities for childhood education. 

3. Siaya County

In recent times, the Siaya County also made  progress by giving permanent employment to over 600 ECDE teachers. Even though the county still faces some budget challenges, the governor promised to improve the teachers’ working conditions so that they can give quality education to young learners.

4. Makueni County

Makueni County confirmed about 350 ECDE teachers to permanent status. In addition, Makueni County set aside money to buy learning materials and improve ECDE centres.
