While the State Department for Social Protection aims to provide Social security to persons who are not able to support themselves and their dependents.

Eligibility Requirements for Ministry of Labour Recruitment 2025
To stand a chance in this process, here are the key criteria applicants must meet.
Citizenship: Prospective applicants of this recruitment exercise must be a Kenyan citizen with valid National Identity Card or Passport.
Age: Candidate must preferably be within 18 and 35 years old.
Education: Applicant must hold a minimum of D+ mean grade in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) including English and Kiswahili languages.
Clearance: In according to chapter six of the Kenyan constitution, shortlisted candidates shall present clearance documents/certificates from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Ethics Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) etc.
Personal Attributes: Candidate must be law abiding, have a criminal free record or pending criminal charges, Must be a computer literate, honest, result oriented and discipline.
Qualifications for Enumerators
Candidates interested in the Enumerators job must:
- Have at least mean grade of C- (minus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or possess equivalent of form four level of education.
- Applicant must be skillful in relevant computer applications.
- Should be residing in the sub-county and conversant with the local language.
Qualifications for Enumerator Supervisors
- Interested applicants of this position must have mean grade of C Plain in KCSE.
- Those with equivalent qualification of Form Four can as well apply.
- Applicant must be proficient in relevant computer packages.
- Prospective applicants who are Community Health Volunteers and have occupied leadership positions have an added advantage.
Important Notice:
- Successful candidates for the Enumerators job shall be paid Kshs. 1,000 daily as their wages.
- Daily transport fare of at least Kshs. 500 shall be given daily and airtime shall be provided as well.
- Enumerator supervisors shall be paid Kshs. 1,300 daily and Kshs. 1,000 as transport allowance. Airtime shall be given as well.
