Qualifications for Appointment

To get selected for any of these positions, here are the direct requirements you must meet.

1. Project Administrator

• Candidates interested in this position must have first degree or equivalent qualification in either Project Management, Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year professional work experience in a government institution.
• Prospective applicant must hold a recognized certificate in relevant computer applications including MS word and MS excel.
• Applicant must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

2. Senior Carbon Trading Analyst

• Interested applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in either Engineering, Actuarial Science, Statistics or a closely related discipline.
• He or she must have at least five (5) year professional work experience relating to carbon trading.

3. Senior Information and Knowledge Management Assistant

• Prospective applicant of this position must hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in either Communications, Diplomacy, International Relations or a closely related discipline.
• Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in research, data collection, analysis and report writing.
• Should have a good understanding of natural climate change institutional framework.
• Possess good managerial, supervisory and communication skills.
• Must have worked with either State or Non-State actors for a minimum period of 3 years.

4. Senior Adaptation Assistant

• Ideal candidate for this position must possess a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management or a closely related discipline.
• Candidate who possess PhD have an added advantage.
• Applicant must possess at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Should be conversant with relevant Government development policies.
• Be able to manage large multi stakeholder projects.
• Have experience in multi-sectorial climate change adaptation projects in Kenya.

Eligibility Criteria for Ministry of Environment Recruitment 2025

• Citizenship: Applications shall only be entertained from Kenyan citizens with a valid National Identity Card or Passport.
• Age Range: Applicant must be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Educational Qualification: A minimum of D+ mean grade in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is required. Other academic and professional qualifications are as well required.
• Integrity & Patriotism: Interested candidates must demonstrate high moral integrity by holding clearance certificates from EACC< DCI, KRA, HELB and CRB as stipulated in chapter six (6) of Kenya constitution.
• Fitness: Candidate must be medically, mentally and physically fit.
