The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has provided guide on how to check and download the Kenya Police shortlisted candidates for the 2025 recruitment exercise.
This PDF shortlist contains names of candidates who successfully submitted application for the 2025 Kenya Police Service, Administration Police and General Service Unit (GSU) recruitment exercise.

The Government of Kenya through the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) declared intention to recruit approximately 10,000 constable police officers across diverse units. Applications were received on the Police Recruitment System (PRS) – www.prs.npsc.go.ke from 19th September – 9th October 2025.

Currently, the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has not published the comprehensive list of candidates shortlisted for interview yet. Meanwhile, following the steps below, you can ascertain your application status and subsequently download the PDF list.

- First step is to visit NPSC career portal www.prs.npsc.go.ke.
- Next, login with your username (national ID number) and password.
- On your dashboard, click application status.

- Open the PDF file from your download folder and then search for your name.
Kenya Police Screening Exercise
Congratulations to all shortlisted candidates. The journey is not yet over as there is one last stage to undergo which is the “screening exercise”.
In this stage candidates shall be physically assessed to ensure they meet specifications in the recruitment advert. Things like height, weight, body measurements (BMI), medical fitness etc. shall be checked.
Sequel to this, all shortlisted candidates shall arrive designated recruitment centers with the following documents:
- Original National Identity Card
- Academic and Professional Certificates
- Transcripts, testimonials or statement of result
- Clearance certificates from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), A reputable Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) etc.
- And other supporting documents.
Once the physical assessment is concluded, successful candidates may still have to write aptitude test which will examine their communication skills, general knowledge, prospects and eligibility to join NPSC.
Names of candidates who successfully sail through these stages shall be published online at the National Police Service Commission website or official social media handles as “the 2025 Kenya Police successful candidates” and appointment letters shall be issued.
